The December BMS meeting promises to be a treat. During the first part of the meeting, Chris Kay will be telling us the real story of the Mutiny on the Bounty. I’m sure that many of us will have our illusions shattered! We will then have our refreshments – don’t forget to bring a contribution. Finger food, please. There will be a tombola and the December 200 club draw. As usual, there will be a ‘Christmas card swap’ table.
It is 40 years since we started work on the museum site and we can’t let that anniversary pass without commemoration. Tony Hirst will be putting together a slide show of photos of early working parties at the museum. As many of you know, Tony was Working Party Organiser in the early days, before becoming the first director of the then Boat Museum. Bring any photos you have. See how many people you can recognise! Everyone is welcome.
As usual, everyone is welcome. 19 December at 7.30pm in the Rolt Centre at the National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port.
